New Year is a time to reflect
It’s a new start – a chance to make changes and improve your life. It can also be a great time to think about how you can become a better person and help others. This year here at Lenguaventura we’re thinking about how we can make new year’s resolutions that will help others in 2019. Read on and find some inspiration for your own new year’s resolutions.
Donate your unwanted things to charity
New Year can be a great time to assess what you actually need and clear out some unwanted items from your life. Why not choose some items from your bedroom that you no longer need but could go to a good home and donate these to your favourite charity? Unworn clothes, books, toys and other items that you haven’t used in a while. They can be valuable items for charity shops to sell on for a good cause. So what are you waiting for, get organised and have a clear out now?!
Volunteer
Volunteering is one of the best ways to improve the lives of other people and the amazing thing is that you can take part in it as much as your schedule allows. Why not consider volunteering at a local charity or organisation during your next school holiday? You can even choose an opportunity that fits in your interests and hobbies and will ensure that you provide an amazing, enlightening experience for people less fortunate than yourself.
Be a conscious shopper
Become a more conscious consumer in 2019 and think about the sustainability credentials of your favourite brands. Sustainability is a hot topic at the moment and it’s only going to get more important as time goes on. So try to find out what your favourite brands are doing to help protect the planet and the lives of the people on it. If this information isn’t readily available on their website then why not email them and ask what they’re doing to ensure they’re trading responsibly? This will ensure they have a plan for the future as their customers are concerned about this.
