Choosing the right summer camp for your teen can feel overwhelming. This page gives parents clear, practical information about Lenguaventura Camps, including supervision, activities, language immersion, and travel logistics for teens aged 14–17.
Lenguaventura Camps is an international bilingual Spanish–English summer camp located in Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain. The camp is designed specifically for teenagers aged 14–17 and combines structured supervision with meaningful activities that encourage independence, confidence and personal development. Each summer, teens from more than 18 nationalities take part in our programs, creating a friendly, international environment where young people feel supported, challenged and socially engaged.
Our summer programs are organized in flexible sessions that allow teens to progressively integrate into camp life and develop their skills. Participants may join for a minimum of one week, with two to four weeks recommended for the best learning and social experience. Daily schedules are structured yet balanced, combining watersports, language practice, group activities and free time appropriate for this age group.
The core of the program focuses on watersports, including kitesurfing, windsurfing and wingfoiling, taught by certified instructors. Activities are progressive and adapted to teen skill levels, ensuring safe learning, motivation and real development rather than simple entertainment. In addition to sports, teens take part in group activities and excursions that support teamwork, cultural exchange and personal growth.
Teen safety and wellbeing are central to all aspects of camp life. Lenguaventura Camps maintains a 1:10 supervision ratio, with trained staff present throughout the day and the night. One Camp leader is always on duty overnight. Clear routines, qualified instructors and defined safety protocols allow teens to enjoy a sense of independence while remaining in a secure and supportive environment. This structure helps parents feel confident while teens gain responsibility and confidence.
Lenguaventura Camps operates as a bilingual Spanish–English summer camp, allowing teens to practice both languages naturally throughout the day. Language learning takes place through daily interaction, group activities and shared experiences rather than formal classroom lessons alone. This immersion-based approach helps teenagers improve communication skills and feel comfortable using another language in real-life situations.
To support international families, Lenguaventura Camps offers organized transfers from several arrival points. Transfers are available free of charge from Málaga Airport and Málaga Train Station on official arrival and departure days between 10:00 and 18:00. An additional fee applies for all arrivals and departures outside this free transfer window. Transfers from Gibraltar Airport are also provided free of charge on Sundays. Transfers from Sevilla and Jerez de la Frontera are available for an additional fee. Clear travel information and arrival instructions are provided to families in advance to ensure a smooth and reassuring arrival and departure process.
Open and transparent communication is encouraged throughout the camp. Teens are invited to speak directly with our staff if they have any concerns or feel uncomfortable at any point. This approach allows issues to be addressed and resolved immediately during the camp experience.
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, Lenguaventura Camps applies a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol. Any breach of this policy results in immediate parental notification and dismissal from the camp.
Teens are allowed to keep their mobile phones; however, designated phone-free periods are part of the daily schedule. During these times, phones are not used, allowing participants to stay present and fully engage in activities and social interaction.
When a minor travels alone, check if they need authorization to leave your country. For example, minors in France need a signed CERFA form, which we provide. Belgian parents should verify similar requirements. Airlines like British Airways require a parental consent form for travelers under 16. Ensure all travel documents are in order, including a valid passport or ID (with at least 6 months validity).
Notify us in advance if your child uses the MNA service. We will assign a staff member to pick them up and share their name, address, phone number, and ID, as required by the airline. Without prior notice, airport authorities won’t release the minor to us.
